Trapezoid Player on Windows
The Windows player is free. Each time you start it, you choose a video file. You then click the four corners of the screen cloth. The film plays inside that trapezoid, and Ambilight on the wall around the cloth follows the colors of the frame.
Start a film
- Open Trapezoid Player and choose a video file. You can also pass the file path as the program argument.
- The first frame fills the screen. Click the four corners of the cloth in order: top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left.
- Press Enter to start. R clears the points. Esc leaves setup.
- The video plays inside the trapezoid. The play control and the seek bar sit on the cloth and are used with the mouse.
What is remembered
On Windows the corners are chosen for the film you just opened. The next launch asks for a file again and asks for the cloth again. The picture engine is OpenCV: the video is warped into the trapezoid, and Ambilight on the wall is blurred from the frame edge without mixing in black. The reason that seam stays clean is on how it works.
